Two ESM Musicians Earn All-State Honors

Eastport-South Manor is proud to celebrate two talented student musicians who were chosen to participate in the 2026 New York State School Music Association All-State Winter Conference Honors Ensembles.

Logan Penkower was selected to participate in the All-State mixed chorus, where he will perform as a Tenor 1. Logan’s selection places him among some of the most accomplished student musicians from across New York State

Additionally, Jack Gallagher earned two perfect scores of 100 during his NYSSMA solo auditions – one for percussion and another for his bass 1 vocal solo. As a result of his outstanding performances, Jack was selected as an alternate for both the All-State band and All-State chorus.

More than 6,800 student musicians from across New York State auditioned for spots in the All-State Honors Ensembles, making Logan and Jack’s accomplishments a significant recognition.

The 2026 NYSSMA All-State Winter Conference will be held Dec. 3-6 in Rochester, bringing together talented student musicians from throughout the state for several days of rehearsals, performances and musical collaboration.
