Dayton Avenue School Principal Dr. Shelita Watkis and Eastport Elementary School Principal Thomas Fabian welcomed third grade students and new students to the schools’ annual orientation programs, held on Aug. 27 and Aug. 28, respectively.

Led by fourth grade students, Dayton Avenue School students toured their classrooms after being welcomed by administrators. At Eastport Elementary, Mr. Fabian led a tour of the students and their parents, who were divided into classroom groups, and discussed school policies, rules about drop off and pick up and other essential information for the start of the new year.

After attending orientation, the third graders and their parents felt much more at ease about the start of the 2024-2025 school year on Sept. 4.
