93 Jr.-Sr. High School students Named AP Scholars

The Jr.-Sr. High School is pleased to announce that 167 students qualified as Advanced Placement Scholars by the College Board, 93 of which are currently enrolled, for their exceptional achievement on the college-level AP Program exams.  

The College Board’s AP Placement Program offers students the opportunity to take challenging college-level courses while still in high school and to earn college credit, advanced placement or both for successful performance on the AP exams. About 18% of more than 1.6 million high school students in more that 16,000 secondary schools worldwide who took the AP exams performed at a sufficiently high level to merit the recognition of AP Scholar. 

The College Board recognizes several levels of achievement based on the students’ performance on AP exams. 

Twenty-nine students qualified for the AP Scholar with Distinction Award by earning an average grade of at least 3.5 on all AP exams taken and grades of 3 or higher on five or more of these exams and include: Justin Albanese, Grace Archbold, Collin Blume, Garrett Bollinger, Christian Capolino, Zachary Chiuchiolo, Sarah Cluff, Melva Contreras, Vlad Curticapean, Jack Frank, Victoria Gambino, Hailey Gray, Kathleen Greenrose Madalena Hiotis, Aleksandra Holub, Aaron Isaacson, James Kreiling, Jacob Lerit, Evan Luck, James Lukas, Abigail McCutchan, Sara Mikula Katelyn Mueller, Charlotte Rozycki, Matthew Rugolo, Amanda Seligman, Josephine Shuman, Kyle Smith and Camryn Warsaw. 

Thirteen students qualified for the AP Scholar with Honor Award by earning an average grade of at least 3.25 on all exams taken and 3 or higher on four or more of these exams and include: Rebecca Benson, Coleman Blackler, Julia Faulkner, Gianna Fazzolari, Andrew Kluse, Jordan Lostritto, Cassidy McCutchan, Natalie Psaltis, Gabriella Rogers Aidan Slovensky, Bianca Snow, Nicolette Stefanidis and Dylan Wayrich.  

Fifty-one students were the recipients of the AP Scholar Award by completing three or more AP exams with grades of 3 or higher and include: Keira Albanese, Roman Benvenuto, Evan Buckshin, Ava Burke, Terry Button, Gavin Calvo, Carson Campbell Colleen Carroll, Sait Coskuntuncel, John Costanza, Alexandra DaEira-Loccisano, Casey DaSilva, Grace DeMeo, Ayden DesLauriers,Sean Doherty, Brian Dunne, Justin Everoski, Trevor Flores, Szonja Gabor, Emma Gallagher, Riley Gimpel, Skylar Hughes, Sarah Issac, Elaina Keller, Sarah Kiesling, Taryn Kirwan, Kellie Langa, Zachary Lukas, Olivia Maler, Kailyn Marra, Alyssa Masino, Brennan Morrison, Naoto Pagaspas Morgan Peters, Yevheniya Rozmarynovych, Matthew Saffren, Andrea Sammarco, Angelina Sankar, Andrew Santangelo, Jake Scesney, Sadie Scott, Alex Silbert, Logan Silbert, Oreoluwa Somosu, Magen Springsteen, William Steinacher, Daniel Thies, Joshua Trujillo, Aila Tumbarello, Breanna Viscusi, Jenna Vormittag and Michell Zheng.  

Additionally, 11 seniors have qualified to receive an AP Capstone Diploma by scoring 3 or higher on AP for having scored 3 or higher on AP Seminar and AP Research and on four additional AP Exams and include: Christian Capolino, Zachary Chiuchiolo, Sarah Cluff, James Kreiling, James Lukas, Sara Mikula, Charlotte Rozycki, Amanda Seligman, Josephine Shuman, Kyle Smith and Camryn Warsaw. 

Six students have qualified to receive the AP Seminar and Research Certificate by earning scores of 3 or higher on AP Seminar and AP Research and include: April Costa, Gracie DiPalo, Samantha Hayes, Elaina Keller, Olivia Maler and Sadie Scott. 

Four students have qualified to receive the College Board National Recognition Program Award for having acquired a 3.5 GPA or higher, PSAT/NMSQT or PSAT 10 assessment scores within the top 10% of assessment takers in each state or having earned score of 3 or higher on two or more AP Exams in ninth and tenth grade. The recipients must also attend school in a rural area or small town, or identify as African American/Black, Hispanic American/Latino or Indigenous/Native. These students include Gianna Fazzolari (First Generation), Brennan Morrison (First Generation, Bianca Snow (First Generation) and Dylan Torres (First generation, Hispanic).   

The district is very proud of these students’ individual achievements and would like to recognize their teachers for the outstanding effort put forth to prepare our students for these rigorous exams.
