Under the direction of Alexandra Cuomo, Jr.-Sr. High School thespians delivered two powerful performances of “Annie Jr,” held in the school auditorium on Dec. 6-7.
Based on the book by Thomas Meehan, “Annie Jr.” tells the story of an orphan determined to find her parents, who abandoned her at an orphanage run by the cruel Miss Hannigan. Instead, she finds a home and new family with billionaire Oliver Warbucks, Grace Farrell and a mutt named Sandy. The school production included familiar and beloved songs including “Hard-Knock Life,” “Tomorrow” and “Little Girls,” and dazzled the audience with the actors’ wit, comedic relief and overall talent.
The production’s success was also due to the amazing and dedicated crew, sound designer Jeff Ingegno, light designer Kassidy McMillen, choreographer and set designer Carissa Navarra and costume designer Joseph Papamichail.
