District alumnae Kasey Choma (2019) and Ellie Masera (2020) will once again be teammates as they represent Team USA on Oct. 11-12 at the International Experience in Indiana for lacrosse sixes. Lacrosse sixes is a variant of lacrosse played with six players on each side, with a shorter game time, game modifications and at a faster pace. They will rival former high school teammate and ESM alumna Jenn Seebach (2021), who will represent Team Puerto Rico.

During her time at ESM, Kasey Choma was team captain, a two-time New York State champion and high school All-American. She continued her academic and athletic career at the University of Notre Dame where she was a Tewaaraton Trophy nominee and five-time All-American.

Ellie Masera was also a team captain and high school All-American during her time with the Sharks and led her team in winning the 2019 New York State championship. She continued her academic and athletic career at Stony Brook University where she was a three-time All-American and a Tewaaraton Trophy Finalist her senior year. Ellie is currently Notre Dame University women’s lacrosse assistant coach.

Jenn Seebach had a standout career for the Sharks and continued her academic and athletic career at Stony Brook University with Ellie before transferring to Flagler College. At Flagler College, she was named defensive player of the week on several occasions and was All-GSC First Team.

The district wishes these women-athletes best of luck in their game this weekend.
